We’ve not done a toy review in a while so imagine how excited we were to be sent the new Medical Rescue Trolley from Smoby. Roleplay is a foundation for children’s play time and if your children are anything like mine then doctors and nurses always seem to make an appearance.
What’s in the box?
Medical Trolley with 2 wheels and medicine box.
One syringe, 2 flasks, a thermometer, 2 boxes of bandages, scissors, otoscope, stethoscope, reflex hammer, 2 medical cards and a pair of glasses.
The medical trolley itself was really quick and easy to put together. The trickiest part was putting together the little bandage boxes and figuring out where each sticker belongs.
My little girls are 5 and 3 years old. It’s been so lovely seeing them play doctors and nurses with each other as well as with mummy and daddy. They have also had some cuddly toys as patients which was so cute to see! Mimi the meerkat was a very well behaved patient.
The medical trolley even comes with its own electric simulator for pretend health tests.
My children have enjoyed hours of educational role play fun and it’s been great to see them stimulate their imaginations. Role play is so important for teaching children social skills and how to interact with others. If you have little ones who get a little anxious about visiting the doctor then learning about the medical instruments and how they work can put their minds at ease.
The medical trolley is really durable and made out of plastic which is perfect for being dragged around allover the house to take care of patients. The set comes with a convenient little medic case which can carry all of the smaller items that are included. It sits at the bottom of the trolley.
The Smoby Medical Rescue Trolley play set is available on Amazon for £36.19 which I think is a really good price for everything that it includes. I can see it lasting quite a while too. It would make a wonderful Christmas or birthday present.
