Hey everyone!
It’s been a while! We have a new review for you today.
We were very kindly sent out a children’s cutlery set from the lovely people over at Nanas Manners for Zara to try out. It’s safe to say she was excited about having ‘big girl knife and fork’.
Zara starts infant school in September and I’d really like her to be able to use a knife and fork properly before she starts.
I thought I’d wait a couple of weeks to write the review because at first Zara struggled with holding her new cutlery as it’s got a much bigger handle than the ones she was using before.
Now that she’s gotten used to them she will sit and ask me to make sure each of her fingers and her thumb are in the right place before she starts eating her dinner (and sometimes during.
I think it’s still a bit of a novelty to her but she is definitely learning and getting the hang of it all (proud mama).
We have previously tried her with using a knife before but only a blunt children’s knife which she would just poke her food with it instead of eating.
Now that she has her Nanas manners cutlery she wants to cut all of her food, including pasta, into tiny little pieces!
What I like about Nanas Manners children’s cutlery is that there is a tri grip design on the knife and the fork so that Zara knows where to put her fingers and thumb and it also comes with colourful stickers to put on the grips/fingernails to make it easier for her.
The cutlery itself is made of stainless steel and BPA free handles. Zara’s cutlery are in the colour Blossom Pink but they are also available in a range of colours and also a Limited Edition Stainless steel set. The quality of the cutlery is amazing and I can see that it it will last Zara for a very long time.
Inside the box they have included a 12 month guarantee which will cover all manufacturing defects. It doesn’t cover wear and tear or damage from being in a dishwasher.
We were also gifted a Nanas Manners tote bag with the logo on it and their “Would you rather” cards which are not only great for conversations whilst we are all sat around the dining table but also on car journeys and in schools.
A huge thank you to Nanas Manners for allowing us to review your cutlery and gifting us with our own set for Zara.
