Hey everyone,
I have super long almost down to my bum length, thick Filipino hair and I enjoy trying out new products on my hair, especially when they have some great ingredients. My hair is a little coarse and a little wavy.
I was recently contacted by a luxury vegan hair care brand called Vegamour who asked if I wanted to try out their range of hair care. They are packed full of powerful bioactive ingredients such as Karmatin – a vegan b-silk protein that nourishes, repairs and protects your hair. Here is my honest review of the products.
I’ll start first with the shampoo and conditioner. It is the GRO Revitalising Shampoo and Conditioner. Designed to restore, retain and renew and made with chemical free keratin to strengthen hair. The shampoo foamed up beautifully and left my hair feeling clean and soft.
The conditioner felt lovely and thick, quite luxurious and I felt it definitely made a difference to my hair in how it felt once it was dry. It felt smoother and softer. Both of the products had a wonderful fresh almost fruity scent which made it enjoyable to use. Having post post partum hair loss (oh the joys) it felt great to treat my hair.
I was also sent this awesome scalp massager from the GRO range which is great as it can be used on wet AND dry hair to massage products into the scalp and also to stimulate the scalp and make it healthier. I love to use this with the shampoo and also the Scalp Detoxifyer which I will mention next. My girls also love using this with their own shampoo and said it made their head tickle! Definitely reccomend to make your scalp feel more pampered.
I was super excited to try this product as I’d not tried anything like it before. It cleanses the scalp and helps to remove build up of products from the scalp. It smelled fresh and did make my scalp feel lovely and refreshed. Massaging it in was really soothing and it felt quite cool on my head.
Last but not last least is the GRO Hair Serum which I was most looking forward to trying due to the hormonal changes from having a baby. As I mentioned above I have suffered from some hair loss after having my youngest son, mainly at the front of my head but I have so much hair it has been coming out in the shower quite a bit. A little bit of this serum is a lot as I learned the hard way and added too much which made my hair feel a bit sticky but if you use a little of this then it’s perfect.
The combination of these products used together have definitely made a difference in my hair and I noticed I was not losing quite as much hair in the shower and during brushing after using the products. I have also used these as a treat to my hair whilst using my usual hair products in between. I think for the price point they are quite expensive although do feel luxury. As a mother of 3 young children I couldn’t afford to use this as my only hair care but we do all have to treat ourselves and look after ourselves too. If you are needing to get your hair and also your scalp into a better condition then I would definitely recommend.
