Hey everyone,
I hope you all have been enjoying summer and the warm weather. We’ve had a wonderful summer and have spent some really good quality time together. Something we don’t often get too much of during term time as the girls are in school!
We recently went on a family day out to Hobbledown Heath in London. It’s situated in Hounslow not far off from Staines. We spent the entire day there as there was so much for us to see and do and plenty for all ages!
We arrived at around 11am and the girls ran straight inside after seeing that they had an amazing soft play area, it looked fantastic and there was a huge amount of activities within the soft play facilities and lots of things to climb on too. There was also the restaurant, tables and toilets with lovely lighting and also a picnic area outside.
We then moved on to see some parrots and then the girls found another play area which was made up of lots of little areas to play in and climb in and out of. There was sand which they could dig up and also water to splash around in which was brilliant given how hot the weather was the day that we went.
My mum had brought everything but the kitchen sink with her so we had everything we needed for a lovely picnic which we enjoyed.
We saw some parrots, meerkats (my personal favourite) giant tortoises, giant rabbits, miniature ponies and horses. There were some more animals but we were so busy we didn’t get to see all if it and will visit those first when we go back next time.
We were lucky enough to get the chance to visit the Gripped London Net Park which is inside Hobbledown Heath and we got to climb up, bounce around and fly down a giant slide from up high which was so much fun!
The girls favourite play area was a little further down from this and had huge tunnels to climb through and find their way around, we could see them poking through some of the towers and they were laughing as they were trying to find their way out to the slide. Possibly one of the best play areas I’ve ever seen.
We also saw that they had a giant water pillow which we spent some time on and even the baby got involved, bouncing around on it and it was super comfortable to lay on after walking around seeing the animals.
The staff were so friendly and they were walking around the park making sure that their guests were all having a good time, there to answer any questions and they also stopped and sang songs with musical instruments which we all enjoyed.
We had such a great time on our day out and I would certainly reccomend this day out to anyone with children who are looking for a lovely family experience.
