Hey Everone,
We’ve been testing out some really amazing fun family games recently and this one is absolutely EPIC!
As soon as we received ProjeX we would not wait to get into the box and stuck into the game. It has certainly brought a huge amount of competition in the house between my two little girls and also myself and my boyfriend. The perfect arcade game for all the family
You know those Retro Arcade games, well it’s just like one of those and the best thing is you don’t need any screens, this game has been played all around the house – wherever there has been darkness! You just need the base, the blasters and a blank wall. (I can confirm it does not work so great on sofas haha)
*DISCLAIMER – We were kindly sent this toy to review, all opinions are our own*
Whats in the box? Inside the box are 2 blasters that plug into the base and also 3 interchangeable little cards that plug into the base for different targets to shoot at. There are targets, UFO’s and ducks. Our favourites are the ducks!
The base has a slot for the card being used and also 2 slots for the remaining 2 cards to keep them safe whilst you play the game (they are quite small so could potentially get lost easily with little ones around.)
You can choose from 5 built in games and 3 skill levels, with Target Pointers on both blasters to help you aim. Something that is great about this is that you can solo, head-to-head or in co-op mode, teaming up to get the highest combined score!
What did we love about it? I like that this game can be used in different rooms within our house, with it not needing a TV screen to play. All you need is a dark room and a blank wall. It really brought out everyones competitive side and we had a huge amount of fun playing together. We had team red and team blue!
Set the ProjeX game arcade base on a low table, with the projector heads aimed at the wall, load a target slide and select your game. The projector should be 5 feet from the wall and works best on a light- coloured wall. We set ours either on the floor which worked just as good as the coffee table or on the bedside table in the girls room.
The base rotates with the projector moving around and up and down so that you can aim and shoot at the targets, we found that it gets faster and faster! All you need to do once this is set up is reload, aim and fire, like you would if you were at an arcade. Each of the different targets have their own unique sound which made us all crack up with laughter.
ProjeX is available from Smyths for 54.99 which is definitely worth the price seeing how much fun we have had as a family and whats included. I think it would make a great christmas gift this year for all of the family to enjoy.
Here’s some videos of the game in action!
