Hey everyone!
We recently received a package from CarGoSeat which we were very kindly gifted. Here’s my honest review for you all.
CarGoSeat is a lightweight booster seat which also doubles up as a pull along wheeled suitcase for children. It is suitable for children 22kg to 36kg and 125cm in height or taller. It was born from a lightbulb moment when the founder Gary burns was on holiday waiting for his hire car after spending a small fortune on grubby hired booster seats.
We have the purple CarGoSeat but it also comes in blue, green and pink. They all do the same thing though and make the perfect travel companion. No more losing toys and crayons/colouring pens as you can store these inside the case.
The seat is very lightweight yet sturdy and already the girls have been having fun dragging it around the house with them.
As you can see from the photo above, the luggage part is quite spacious and you can fit a fair bit inside it. It has a handle that lifts up off the seat to turn it into a case and it folds back down again. The case itself is easy to open you turn the little lock and it opens up. The case closes when you push it shut.
Safety comes first! Whilst I’m all for new and innovative ideas, safety is really important to me as you want your children to be safe and protected don’t you. I actually contacted CarGoSeat once I received them as I wanted to double check about it (I worry about everything) but I have been fully assured it has been thoroughly tested. CarGoSeat complies with all UK and EU crash tests requirements and also meets ECE R44/04 standards.
We tried out our CarGoSeat to pop to the shops in my mums car and it was so easy to install as it uses the cars 3 point seatbelt. Once our daughter Zara was sat down and strapped in, the seat was super secure and she said it was really comfy too. Whilst the seat does a great job we wouldn’t use this as our main car seat (as it is for travelling). Although I’m looking forward to taking it abroad in the future as this will be perfect to carry, the girls can put their things inside and it also fits in the over head luggage hold on the plane so absolutely perfect for taking on holiday. Peace of mind and no need to hire booster seats for when you’re out there. I used to work for a travel company and there would be so many complaints about the car seats being in a poor condition or not being provided at all!
What I love about CarGoSeat? I love that it is a multipurpose product and that we can use it for both a booster seat and a travel case. Children don’t pack light do they?! Well mine don’t anyway they choose the most random things to take with them when we go out. I really like the fact that it is so lightweight which means it’s not too heavy for the girls to pull along when it’s being used as a suitcase. It provides a seat for little ones when they have tired legs and it’s the perfect size for days out and sleep overs so the little ones can pack everything like outfit changes, a teddy and a toothbrush!
The 2 in one booster seat is also very easy to wipe clean and I like that the padded seat cover comes off in case it needs to have a proper wash. It sticks back on with the Velcro that’s attached to it.
We used to struggle a lot with lack of car seats as my girls main car seats are in my mums car and if a friend or other family member wanted to take us out somewhere with them for the day and my mum was at work we’d be in a bit of a pickle. With these CarGoSeats we can keep them in the house as they don’t take up much room and don’t need to worry if we have an impromptu day out.
CarGoSeat retails for £54.99 on their website but they currently have £5 off for their launch offer with the code “CarGoSeat5”.
