We were already a huge fan of the Little Brian Paint Sticks and so when we were given the opportunity to review the new Little Brian Paint Sticks Art Station I was so excited. Our daughter Zara is 4 years old and absolutely loves painting, drawing and all things arts and crafts.
What’s in the box? Whiteboard/Chalkboard, 10 paper sheets, 10 classic paint sticks, 6 chalk sticks & a duster.
The art station was very easy to set up. The whiteboard and chalkboard unfolded out and there’s a little clip on the white side where you can use paper. The little storage pots slot in with ease. Zara was already getting stuck in with painting once she’d ripped open the packaging. I love that the art station can be moved and stored in places around the house as it folds flat and doesn’t take up much room.
If you’ve never used the paint sticks before then you really should try them. They are similar to glue sticks except they are paints, which dry very quickly (30 seconds!) With no need for brushes, water or the mess that usually comes with painting, these are just perfect if you have little ones like us. The paint sticks can be twisted at the bottom to push them up or down and they all have lids on them to stop them from drying out. What I like about these is that you can use them on so many different types of materials They are like a multipurpose paint stick! We’ve used them on windows, hands and fingers to press on to paper, to paint wood for decorations. Right now Little Brian Paint Sticks have got a competition where you can to decorate a pumpkin with their paint sticks to win a prize.
The chalk sticks that we received with the Art Station are different to the ones we’ve had before. These ones twist at the end much like the paint sticks which make them so easy to use. They glide onto the blackboard easily (without that horrible squeak) and are so much brighter than regular chalks. They are mess free too so you don’t get any chalk dust which is a winner for me. The chalks are easy to wipe away with the duster. I do like to give the blackboard a quick clean with a baby wipe though to make sure it looks super clean.
If your little ones loves being creative then they will love this art station. We are going to stock up on some more of the paint and chalk sticks. This would make a brilliant Christmas or birthday gift for children 3 and upwards. You can purchase the Little Brian Paint Sticks Art Station from around £25-30 depending on where you shop. I’ve seen it available at Argos, Smyths Toys & Amazon.
Thank you again to Wire PR and Little Brian Paint Sticks for sending this over for us to review.
